Blue Water Capital is looking to acquire a home services business in the Chicagoland area. Our goal is to continue to grow and evolve the business while honoring the legacy of the current owners and building for the next generations.

Blue Water Capital is not a private equity firm or a search fund. We are a husband and wife founded entity looking to buy and personally run our businesses.

Blue Water Capital is looking to acquire a home services company with the following attributes:

  • Established business with history of profitable growth

  • Consistently earning $750k+ in EBITDA

  • Located in the Chicagoland area with a focus on the western suburbs

  • Qualifies for SBA lending

  • Seller financing part of the deal structure

About Us

I'm Thano Emerick. I started my career working at a small family-owned awning business where I was hands on in designing, installing and even sewing our products, as well as running the finances. After graduation from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, I went on to solve problems for some of the world's biggest and most admired companies as a consultant at Accenture and then later at a smaller digital agency.Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with 100’s of different clients in a wide range of industries learning their business to help them respond to market and business challenges. I advised them on how to grow top line revenues and streamline operations to become more efficient. I've delivered strategic roadmaps, product visioning, websites, intranets, e-commerce sites, CRM systems as well as business intelligence & analytics solutions.After seeing several members of our family buy and sell businesses, I became curious about entrepreneurship through acquisition and started studying it. I enjoy sales and business operations & look forward to getting back to my roots in small business through this acquisition.I'm Nicole Emerick. I studied Finance and Entrepreneurship at Miami University (Ohio) then started my career in mortgage sales, followed by commercial lending where I served SMBs. During this time I started a blog for ambitious young professional women which turned into a small media company that I later sold.I went on to lead social media and influencer marketing at a top global advertising agency in Chicago, then worked as a digital communications director at a Fortune 100 before going out on my own.Today I provide marketing, communications and process documentation services that help businesses prepare for acquisition.I grew up with grandparents, parents and aunts/uncles who had the unique experience of being both life and business partners. Watching them start, grow, sell and purchase businesses while raising their families has always inspired me. Now it's our turn to carry on the family's entrepreneurial legacy.
